Weekly News Update

Dear all,

Summer Reading Challenge

Don't forget to sign up for the FREE Summer Reading Challenge at Glastonbury Library. It's a wonderful way to encourage a love of reading over the summer holidays, and we hope lots of our children will take part.

School Reports

Your child's school report was sent out today. If you haven't received it, it may be because we don't have your current email address on file. Please contact the school office if you need to update your details. We are also happy to provide a printed copy for any families who would prefer one.

Year 2 Visit to Wells

Our Year 2 children have had a fantastic week with a special trip to Wells, where they visited Waterstones to choose their very own book. This wonderful opportunity was kindly sponsored by the Wells Literacy Festival. To round off a lovely day, everyone enjoyed an ice cream in the sunshine! It was a memorable treat and a wonderful way to celebrate their love of reading.

End of Term

As we come to the end of another wonderful school year, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our families for your continued support, kindness and encouragement. It has been a year full of learning, laughter, achievements and memorable moments, and it has been a pleasure to see the children grow in confidence and flourish.

Your children continue to amaze us with their enthusiasm, resilience and kindness, and I would like to thank our dedicated staff for all they do to make our school such a happy and nurturing place to learn.

As we head into the summer holidays, we wish you all a happy, safe and restful break. We hope you enjoy spending quality time together and making special family memories over the coming weeks.

This is my final newsletter of the school year, so thank you once again for being such an important part of our school community. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in September, refreshed, smiling and ready for another exciting year of learning.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Kerry Devane (Headteacher)

Our PTA has had an incredible year, working tirelessly to raise an amazing £10,388.65 so far.

Thanks to the generosity, enthusiasm and support of our wonderful school community, these funds are already making a real difference for our children.

This year, the PTA has proudly funded improvements to our Forest School area, helped re-lay the turf in the paddock, and supported enhancements to the Reception playground—creating exciting, safe and inspiring spaces where children can learn, play and thrive.

Every event attended, donation made and hour volunteered has contributed to these achievements, and together we're continuing to invest in enriching the school experience for every child.

Thank you!
