🌟 Weekly News Update

Dear Parents and Carers,

We’ve had a busy and thoughtful week in school, and there’s lots to look forward to in the days ahead. Please take a moment to read our latest updates below.

🕊️ Remembrance Day

Our Remembrance Day ceremony will take place on Tuesday 11th November, at 10:30 a.m. Poppies will be available to purchase for those who wish to make a donation.

Parents are warmly invited to join us for the school’s moment of silence. Please arrive at 10:25 a.m. if you would like to take part.

On Remembrance Sunday, we will be joining the town parade, laying a wreath, and attending a Church service. Everyone is welcome to join us — please meet at the Town Hall at 10:15 a.m. for the parade.
Children taking part are asked to wear full school uniform for this occasion.

🎉 Celebration Assemblies

We’re delighted to share that Reception will now be joining us for Celebration Assemblies each week. We’re really looking forward to celebrating everyone’s achievements together as a whole school community!

🦉 Attendance News

A big well done to the Woodpeckers class, who achieved 100% attendance this week! Fantastic effort, everyone — keep it up!

🤝 Friendship Friday

Starting next week, we will launch our new Friendship Friday activities. These sessions will involve playing games and help children develop turn-taking skills, play fairly, and build resilience when things don’t go their way.

We’ll also include puzzles and quiet play activities, as we believe children will benefit from these calm and reflective moments. Friendship Friday will take place across all classes each week.

Thank you for your continued support — it makes such a difference to our school community.
We hope you all have a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing everyone on Monday!

Warm regards,

Kerry Devane (Headteacher)
