Dear parents,

Thank you for all the plants for the playground. We still have lots of empty pots, so any more donations would be greatly appreciated.

Many of you may have noticed that the Church has taken the decision to close the church grounds to take some time to reflect on the impact and rise of anti-social behaviour over the last 6 months. This has led to some individuals congregating in the lanes leading up to the school. We have taken the decision to close the gates to school at 3.30pm so the children in clubs and Rockin Robins are in a more secure environment. There is a bell to ring for Rockin Robins and the blue gates will be opened from the time of the end of the clubs. The wooden gate will remain closed from 3.30pm. I know this means you will have to walk around from the car park and I apologise for this inconvenience. If you would like to talk to me about this please pop into school.

I thought I would also let the wider school now that Mrs Hopkins has been on long-term sick leave since February. She has injured her arm and is receiving treatment. We are thinking about her lots and wish her a full recovery. During this period, I am teaching 3-4 days a week in Owls. Please bare with me while I juggle the many plates of being a Headteacher and a Class teacher. If I haven't responded quickly enough, or you have any concerns I haven't addressed, then please email the school office, and they will help me prioritise anything you raise.

Enjoy the bank holiday weekend. I have a bottle of Rose chilling!
