Message from the Headteacher

 Dear Parents/Carers,

Thanks to those parents who joined us for our remembrance service in the playground this morning. It was a moving tribute for our children to be involved in.

On Sunday 12th November we will also be taking part in the Remembrance Sunday Parade, laying a wreath at the memorial in front of the church at 11am. It would be lovely to see as many of you there as possible.

Thank you for your support,

Kerry Devane

First Aid Forms

We have started to use a First Aid app called First Aid Forms this week in school.

Accidents which happen in school will be recorded by staff via this app and an email will be sent to the parent to inform them of their child's bump.

This will replace our paper bump notes currently handed out by the teachers.

If you have any queries regarding an accident, please contact your child's teacher.

Tips for Parents

As much as they resist, children actually love routines and get security from boring predictability. Establishing your morning routine in the early years is useful for keeping things on track as children get older.

Draw up a brief morning routine and then, rather than nagging or repeating yourself, tell your child to follow their routine. You can use the 'now and next' language they will have heard in school. For example: "As soon as you have finished your routine, you can watch cartoons until it's time to leave".

Establish this with plenty of enthusiastic praise and encouragement.
