Message from the Headteacher

 Dear Parents/Carers,

It was the last day of Summer yesterday and as most of you know Summer is my favourite month.

I am going to try and embrace the Autumn weather and I have been gifted a National Trust membership, so I am off to Stourhead tomorrow. You can take advantage of the National Trust sites with this free pass for a visit this Autumn.

https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/visit/escape-into-autumn

Being outside is very good for you and your families. Why not join us on our 'Friday Morning Welly Walk'.

We have raised £950 so far towards the mural for the corridor. Please do consider if you know anyone who could help.

Have a safe and peaceful weekend.

Thank you for your support,

Kerry Devane

Parenting Tip

RELATIONSHIPS -

This week, I met a parent who wanted help with her child's behaviour at home. During our chat, it came out that she had been severely bullied in school and her adult relationships all followed a similar theme - she felt like her boundaries were always ignored, and that she didn't feel able to assert herself or expect her needs to be met to.

When we looked at the behaviour causing concern at home, we noticed that the behaviour she is struggling with in her child was very much like her difficulties with relationships in general. Have a look at this table. What's your relationship style? How does it impact on how your child responds to you?
