Message from the Headteacher

 Dear Parents/Carers,

We are all looking forward to the Frost Fayre tomorrow. Thank you for all your cake donations, please keep them coming. We are very grateful! Come and say hello to us in St John's Church where we will be selling cakes.

With the start of Advent on Monday we know you may be planning or starting to plan Christmas and make it magical for your children. However, with the current financial climate we understand that might be difficult for some families. I have listed below some charities that may be able to help.

Christmas Lunch

All school aged children from Reception up to Year 2 are invited to have a hot dinner for our Christmas Lunch on Wednesday 14th December

Please complete the form on the link below to order lunches for the last week of this term and the first two weeks of January.

If your child does not normally have a hot lunch, they can still order one for Christmas dinner day. It is helpful, if you do not intend to order any hot lunches, that you still complete the form and tick 'Packed Lunch' for each day.

Parenting Tip

I've talked about how useful morning and bedtime routines are for children, but routines are also good for parents. Here's how -

  • Routines can help you feel more organised and in control, which will lower stress
  • Routines help your family get through your daily tasks more efficiently and free up time for other things.
  • Routines mean you don’t have to deal with arguments or make last minute decisions. For example, if Monday is spag bol night, no-one needs to argue about what’s for dinner.
  • Routines also help you feel successful as a parent because you're not left chastising yourself over forgotten bits and pieces.

As ever, routines don't mean one person is inflicting their rules on others. You can sit as a family and decide your routines. Children whose opinion is included are far more likely to cooperate.

Dear God,

Thank you for loving us and teaching us how to love, persevere and respect each other in everything we do.

Amen
