Message from the Headteacher

 Dear Parents/Carers,

A sneak peek above of what is coming tomorrow night taken on the Wells bypass yesterday. I hope you all enjoy the spectacle that is the Somerset Carnival. I always think Glastonbury carnival is extra special as it is the last one of the season. Enjoy!

I had some really positive feedback from the librarian about how many families have joined the library recently. The children are really enjoying their weekly visits to the library. Having a love of books and literature is a wonderful attribute for any child.

Please do take note of the all the Christmas events coming up. We would appreciate your support and attendance in as many of them as possible. I have added the dates for our Reception Nativity concerts. Which after 2 years of not being able to have families attend due to COVID-19 restrictions, we are delighted to have you back watching live.

Don't forget we are going to the cinema next Wednesday. If you are able to volunteer we would be very grateful. Please let your Class teachers know.

Have a restful weekend,

Kerry Devane

Parenting Tip

Relentless Routines!

Following last weeks tips on morning routines, I have created a simple Bedtime Routine chart for anyone who is struggling with establishing bedtime routines. You are welcome to download and print it.

Children love stickers so, while they are learning their bedtime routine, perhaps let them mark each step with a shiny sticker.

That's often reward enough but, if more incentive is needed, a simple reward idea for staying in bed until morning would be a choice of favourite breakfast cereals or ten minutes on the tablet.

Word of warning - If you have a child who is very literal or a 'black and white' thinker, make sure they understand they can leave their bed if they are frightened or need the loo!
