Message from the Headteacher

 Dear Parents/Carers,

If you are attending firework displays this weekend or indeed having displays of your own please remember to stay safe.

I would like to highlight our 'Birthday Books' initiative. On your child's birthday, rather than bringing in sweets or cakes, we are asking that you bring in a new book for your child's class library or the school library. The book will be shared with the child's class and the book will have a book-plate stuck inside with your child's name.

Can I ask that your child/ren only bring toys and belongings from home into school as part of a show and tell arranged by the teacher. In some circumstances, we recognise that a child needs a 'comfort' toy and arrangements can be made on a case by case basis.

Panto Season

We have been very fortunate to have been given the opportunity for our school age children to attend the dress rehearsal of the Strode Theatre pantomime Cinderella.

This will be a wonderful way for your children to experience a live performance.

The dress rehearsal is on Thursday 22nd of December. You will need to drop your child off at 5.40pm at Strode Theatre. Staff from the school will then supervise the children until you collect. I will have pick up times nearer the date.  I imagine the show will last 2 hours. So please consider whether your child can sit for this long. If you would like your child/ren to attend please fill in the online form or let the office know.

Parenting Tip

The register we complete in school is an important part of keeping your children safe and offering them their full education entitlement.  Registration begins at 8:40am as the children enter the classroom. If you arrive after 8.40am and before 9am your child will be marked as late. If you arrive after 9am your child will be marked in as an unauthorised absence for the whole morning session.

Persistent lateness will trigger support being offered to you from the PFSA.
