Weekly News Update

Dear all,

Despite the hot weather this week, school has remained open, and we would like to say a huge thank you to our amazing staff and wonderful children for staying calm, patient, and resilient throughout the heatwave. We are incredibly proud of the way everyone has worked together to keep our school a safe and positive place to learn.

We are also incredibly fortunate to have a swimming pool, our beautiful old school building, and the church to help us make the most of the week despite the heat. St John's really is a very special place, and we are so grateful for everything that makes our school unique.

We hope that all the families who stayed at home are safe and well, and we are all looking forward to some cooler weather this weekend.

A heartfelt thank you also goes to our parents for your encouragement, understanding, and kind words of support throughout the week. Your appreciation means a great deal to all of us, and we are truly grateful to be part of such a caring school community.

Finally, a reminder that Monday is an INSET Day, so school will be closed to pupils. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Tuesday.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Glastonbury In Bloom Poster Competition.

Well done to all St John's children who created a poster for the Glastonbury In Bloom poster competition.

Congratulations to Ayla in Year 1 who won 1st Prize in the competition.

The theme was “Kindness and the Community”, with a colour theme of rainbow colours and your poster fitted the bill perfectly. Well done, Ayla!
