Weekly News Update

Dear Parents and Carers,

We hope the January blues haven’t hit you too hard. On our Abbey walk this morning, I did notice the spring bulbs starting to poke through β€” a lovely sign of brighter days ahead 🌱🌼

It was so lovely to receive a card and letter from the King this week, thanking us for the card and Holy Thorn sprig. It really reminds us how unique our town is πŸ‘‘

We are pleased to announce that Forest School sessions with a Forest School Teacher will begin next week for the Reception children. The sessions will be led by Keida Pressey 🌳πŸͺ΅

PTA News

Happy New Year to you all! Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break.

Don't forget we are currently in the 'green token' scheme at Waitrose in Wells so if you are in the area please pop in and put some tokens in our box!

Next month we have our first quiz night of the year. This will be held on FRIDAY 6th FEBRUARY at Tor Rugby Club.

As always, entry is Β£5 per person with the option to purchase Sausage and Chips for an additional Β£2.50. Teams of up to 6 people are allowed!

The quiz night is always great fun and is a great fundraiser to get us started for the year ahead! The last quiz night sold out in advance so make sure you get your teams in asap!

Attendance

The whole school attendance so far this year is 92.7%

This week our attendance was  91%

The YEAR with highest attendance this week was Year 1 with  92.9%

The CLASS with highest attendance this week was Owls with  93.9%
