Message from the Headteacher

 Dear Parents/Carers,

I would like to thank Mrs Brammer for organising a brilliant Science week this week. I have really enjoyed looking at your 'Science Selfies' I wouldn't want to be tasked with choosing winners. They are all amazing. Thank you for your contributions and opening your children's minds to the wonder of Science.

Over the next two weeks, teachers will be collating assessments for your children which we will then discuss at our pupil progress meetings. At these meetings we will map out any provision that we need to deliver or change to get the most out of your child socially and academically. Finally, in the week beginning the 22nd of April we will be inviting parents to meet with the teachers for parent consultations. It's really important that you attend these. We cannot get the best out of your child if we don't have a relationship with families.

I know Ms Appleton has met with Reception parents this week to share how we teach phonics. In the final week of this term, she will also be sharing how the  Phonics Screening will be carried out in school for all of our Year 1 children and some Year 2 children. Please do find the time to attend this meeting as she will also share how to help your child succeed with their reading.

Thank you for working with us to help your child shine.

Have a restful weekend.

Thank you for your support,

Kerry Devane
