Message from the Headteacher

We are really looking forward to our annual school trip to the seaside tomorrow. Please arrive at the earlier time of 8.30am as the coaches are leaving at 8.45am.  The weather looks like it will be sunny and not too hot. We will be wearing red and white and blue to mark the King's Coronation. Please ensure your child is wearing shoes that allow them to walk on the pebbles. Please remember to provide your child with the following....

  • A sun hat and sun cream
  • Travel sickness tablets in a named box or bag if needed
  • A packed lunch if not having a school lunch
  • A water bottle
  • A towel to sit on.
  • A raincoat (you never know)

There is a Lyme Regis meeting today @ 3:15 in the School Hall for all those volunteering. Please note their will be no Teacher led after school clubs on Tuesday, and the 'Read to me' morning session will not run this week.

Can I ask that you please leave the playground once you've collected your child, as the 'Rockin Robins' after school club team are outside and gates need to be locked.Thank you.

Have a great week,

Kerry Devane

School Lunches

It's time to order your child's lunches for after half-term. Please note we have a new menu after half-term.
A full copy of the new menu is available on the website. If you would like a paper copy, please ask Frankie in the Office.
It's helpful, if you intend to provide a packed lunch, that you still complete the form to indicate this.
https://www.stjohnsinfantsglastonbury.co.uk/form/?pid=8&form=34
Please complete the form by Tuesday 23rd May.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Parenting Tip

Anger continues to be a theme this week. Last week I suggested modelling good anger management. This week I want to consider some useful 'Anger Rules'.

Everyone gets angry. Anger is a good and useful emotion. It tells us when things  aren't right, and can make us act when we see injustice or unfairness. Anger can also be very unhelpful and can burn quickly out of control.

Good family rules for anger are -

It is okay to FEEL angry.

It is not okay to hurt others (with words or physically)

It is not okay to hurt yourself

It is not okay to damage property.

Look out for future themed workshops in school. Anger is top of my list
