School commitment

We will maintain an open safeguarding culture where responsibility is shared by all. We will provide strong strategic oversight of safeguarding, ensure effective multi-agency working, and learn from safeguarding incidents to improve practice.

We will ensure that pupils are safe and feel safe. We will listen to pupils’ views, including those educated off site, and embed safeguarding education across the curriculum so pupils know how to stay safe and how to seek help. Pupils and parents will know who to contact for support.

We will ensure all staff are vigilant, well trained, and confident in identifying and responding to safeguarding concerns by following agreed procedures consistently.

We will meet all statutory safeguarding requirements, including safer recruitment, record-keeping, referrals, reporting, and the Prevent duty. We will respond appropriately to child-on-child abuse, including bullying, sexual harassment, violence and physical abuse.

We will keep safeguarding policies and procedures clear, accessible, and under continual review. We will monitor staff practice, provide appropriate supervision and support, and follow local authority procedures when managing concerns or allegations about adults. Any safeguarding issues identified will be addressed promptly.
