    Our ‘Scrapstore’ in action. All resources are supplied by Yeast Scrapstore and replenished half termly. We have a Scrapstore play leader every lunchtime. It was set up in response to the children wanting more creative resources for their imaginary play.

    Our aim in bringing Forest School to St. John’s is to give children the opportunity to spend more time learning outdoors; to work creatively with natural materials, build their ability to work cooperatively, learn to evaluate risk, and develop their awareness and empathy for the natural world. At the same time working outdoors improves their confidence, sense of well-being and spiritual awareness.
